About Sandra
I focus on all phases of estate planning and trusts and estates administration, including the drafting of wills and various trusts, with an emphasis on complex gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax issues.
I am experienced in establishing and administering private foundations, in representing individual and corporate clients in corporate and tax matters, and in developing planned giving programs for non-for-profit organizations.
Since I am bilingual, I frequently lecture and write on various estate planning topics in English and Spanish.
I previously worked at the Office of the Public Administrator of Kings County as the Deputy Public Administrator (administering the estates of people who die without a will), at Morea Schwartz LLP as a Trusts and Estates/Tax Associate, at Matthew Bender & Co. (LexisNexis) as an Estate Planning/Tax Editor, at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP as an International Tax Associate, and at the AIDS Law Clinic of the Harvard Law School (The Hale & Dorr Legal Clinic) as a trusts and estates legal intern.
I am a member of the New York State and Massachusetts State bars; Hispanic Bar Association; Puerto Rican Bar Association; Association of the Bar of the City of New York; and New York State Bar Trusts and Estates Section.
